THE interregnum between jump racing's twin peaks of Cheltenham and Aintree four weeks this year - gives the lesser lights a few opportunities, and the Go North Festival, a series of valuable “finals” run at Musselburgh on Friday, Kelso on Saturday and Carlisle on Sunday last week, fits perfectly in this space.
The series, with a number of qualifiers through the winter and each with a valuable final, was designed in 2021 to give mid-tier horses a decent endof-season target and boost racing north of Doncaster.
