TENS of thousands of people enjoyed festive meets across the country, showing “how important hunting still is for the rural community”.
After two years affected by Covid, it is estimated that 200 packs, including beagles, harriers, basset hounds, draghounds and bloodhounds, were out, as crowds lined the streets to see “Boxing Day meets return in all their glory”, a Countryside Alliance spokesman said.
