THERE are plenty of dual-purpose trainers around the country but not many doing as well with their Flat horses as their jumpers as Alan King, and that was never better exemplified than on Saturday, 7 November.
Within a few minutes of winning the Unibet Elite Hurdle with Sceau Royal at Wincanton, King completed an outstanding Flat-turf season by winning the last big race at Doncaster, the Betfair November Handicap, with, Henry Ponsonby’s 10/1 shot On To Victory.
