TEENAGE sisters Ruth and Clare Hole were on impressive form over the past two weeks, bringing home with 14 red rosettes on seven different horses, writes Selene Scarsi .
Clare, 14, took both mediums at Bluegate Hall Farm, Essex (24 September), on Liz Rawlingson’s pony Rosewater I Claudius, coming second to herself on Lara Edwards’ seven-year-old pony stallion Cyden Oosting Amigo.
Ruth, 17, shone at Boyton Hall, Suffolk (25 September), winning at prelim on her own Lombard Light, a former racehorse whom Ruth has retrained to event, and at elementary on her other eventer, Bonhard Alexander, with plus-70% scores.
The previous weekend at Houghton Hall, Cambs (17 September), Clare won at elementary and medium on her Painted Black gelding Chuchaqui LAT. Ruth headed the advanced medium and prix st georges…
