THE 13-year-old was delighted to secure her first win at her local event, Dauntsey, aboard her pony, Hayestown Donny.
“It was the biggest, most technical course I’ve ridden; when I walked it I never imagined I’d get round, let alone go double clear,” admitted Amelia, who beat her godmother, Kathryn Harris, into second place in BE90 section A.

FITTINGLY, the West Sussex-based rider scored her first win with her five-year-old Ferdi III at Borde Hill (2), where her mother, Di, was secretary on the day, her father, Miles, sponsored a section and her sister, Cassie, was in charge of the mid-morning “bun run”.
“Being a local event, it’s extra special to do well here,” said Francesca, who bought the Verdi-sired gelding from Flora Harris last year.…
