This upcycled shade from The Mindful Maker book is a quick and easy way for you to achieve the rustic look. Just buy a frame or simply strip the fabric from an old one you have at home, then select twine that complements your interior. Takes 2 hours You will need * 2-ply and waxed linen twine in three colours * Wire lampshade frame * Scissors 1 Unwind around 6m of twine and wrap it into a long thin shape that you can pass through the spokes of the frame. Annoyingly, my radiators are a little off-white. • I wish I’d found extra cash to double glaze the original sash windows, as I get a lot of condensation on them. You will need * Pencil * Small ceramic dish – heart or oval shapes work well * Cloth * Ceramic pens 1 Wipe the dish with a cloth to make sure it’s clean and free of dust. 2 Draw the cat’s face on the dish with a pencil. Start with the nose in the middle, followed by the mouth, whiskers, eyes and ears. 3 Neatly go over the pencil lines with ceramic pens. Spicy jackfruit and pineapple skewers Prep and cook time 30 MINS Serves 2 (MAKES 6) Ingredients * 1 tin young jackfruit (300g drained weight) * 300g pineapple, cut into 2cm cubes (18 pieces in total) * 1 tbsp vegetable oil * 1 tsp white sesame seeds For the marinade * 2 tbsp Wing Yip Light Soy Sauce * 1-2 tbsp Mai Siam Sriracha Sauce, depending on spice preference * ½ tsp Wing Yip Sesame Oil You will also need * 6 small skewers Method 1 Soak the skewers in cold water for at least 1 hour before assembling.
