While vibrant colours were prominent at Milan’s Salone del Mobile this year, caution is still advisable, says Roddy Murray, founder of Hong Kong-based design practice RJMD. “Keep the base neutral, but with bright bursts of colour,” he suggests. “Some colours can make a space look bigger, but if the scheme is too busy, it just jars.
