After almost 10 long years of avoiding the authorities, a cannabis farmer allegedly on the run in Spain was recently tracked down last year and on July 19 began his sentence—only, he’s pleading not guilty and denies any involvement in a cannabis operation. Lee Thomas Hamilton pleaded not guilty when he was first arrest in April 2011, and was set to go to prison in 2012, but failed to surrender to his bail after a trial at the Liverpool Crown Court. It wasn’t until October 10, 2020, that he was arrested in Seville, Spain, extradited back to the UK and incarcerated in Wormwood Scrubs in West London, England. According to Hamilton’s attorney, Carmel Wilde, he pleaded not guilty and claimed that he had nothing to do with the cannabis operation.…
