Back in issue 428, I wrote about tweaks to a hi-fi system, some that worked and some that did not. I concluded, with a partly tongue-in-cheek assertion, that a large G&T was right up there in the tweak premiership. It was pleasing to find that I didn’t get flamed or trolled for such irresponsible musings. So, with my new-found confidence, let me admit that I once self-medicated by accepting a hand-rolled jazz-woodbine from a so-called student. But in the interests of responsible journalism let me state that I did not inhale, taking my lead from that super saxophonist and model of moral probity, Bill Clinton.
