The King expressed his sadness as he made a moving first visit to Manchester since the attack on a synagogue in the city earlier this month. In a show of support for the Jewish community, His Majesty travelled to Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation synagogue last Monday.
The attack took place on Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar. Jihad Al-Shamie, 35, was shot dead by police as he targeted the place of worship. Melvin Cravitz, 66, and Adrian Daulby, 53, were killed and three others were injured.
