The Princess Royal is recovering at home following five days in hospital after she was involved in an accident on her Gatcombe Park estate in Gloucestershire. Princess Anne, 73, the King’s sister, was admitted to hospital in Bristol suffering from concussion and minor injuries, which her medical team say are consistent with an impact from a horse’s head or legs. She will now rest at home and return to official duties when her medical team say it is safe to do so. The Rocketman star donates £27m a year – which works out as £74,000 a day – to charitable causes in the areas of HIV/Aids, sport, music and the arts.
