As the name suggests, small-batch production involves making fewer units of a product, which avoids overproduction and waste, as Laura Rudoe, founder and chief executive of Evolve Organic Beauty, tells us.
“We make our products based on customer demand, which makes them fresher, leading to fewer products reaching their sell-by date,” she says. “It also means we never scrap or write off unwanted products.”
