It was a star-studded week for the Duchess of Cornwall, who caught up with some of the biggest names in literature and showbusiness.
Among the VIPs she welcomed to Clarence House to celebrate the distinguished literati and supporters of the Reading Room project, which she launched at the height of lockdown, were writer Lady Antonia Fraser, actors Charles Dance and Richard E Grant, and DJ Sara Cox, plus four Dames – authors Hilary Mantel, Susan Hill and Edna O’Brien, with stage and screen star Judi Dench.
“She’s so fab, the Duchess, and so enthusiastic,” said Dame Judi. “It’s just a lovely initiative and she’s such good fun.”
