Surrounded by white and gold balloons and wrapped presents, Carole Middleton is all set for the party season.
The Duchess of Cambridge’s 65-year-old mother looks forward to spending time with her children and grandchildren at Christmas and likes to get the whole family involved in the festive preparations.
But this year, Carole is adapting her traditions with Prince George, seven, Princess Charlotte, five, Prince Louis, two, and Arthur Matthews, her younger daughter Pippa’s two-year-old son, in line with the Government’s Covid-19 restrictions.
“For me, what really matters is that my family feels connected. I normally let my grandchildren help me decorate the tree,” she said. “This year, I’ll ask them by video call to decide which decoration should go where. It may need to be tastefully rearranged later!”
