In a movement which began in the US and quickly spread across the world, thousands gathered to protest against the death of 46-year-old African-American George Floyd in police custody in Minneapolis and to call for change. At many protests, police officers got down on one knee in a sign of solidarity with the protesters and their message that Black Lives Matter.
One of George’s brothers, Philonise, said of the demonstrations: “It’s crazy, man. All these people came to see my brother, it’s amazing he touched so many hearts.”
