Released online on 15 September, First They Killed My Father tells the true story of a young girl’s harrowing experiences living under Cambodia’s brutal Khmer Rouge regime. The Netflix thriller, which is based on the book of the same name, was a family affair for writer and director Angelina, 42, with eldest son Maddox, 16, involved in production and younger brother Pax, 13, shooting behind-the-scenes stills.
