Disgraced entertainer and artist Rolf Harris has applied for permission to appeal against his conviction for 12 indecent assaults on four girls, one of whom was eight at the time. Lawyers for the Australian-born 84-year-old, who last month was sentenced to five years and nine months behind bars for his crimes, lodged papers at the Court of Appeal last week. A judge will now decide whether or not his appeal should have a full hearing. The news comes in the same week that it was announced that Rolf’s jail sentence would not be sent to the Court of Appeal, despite 150 complaints over its leniency.
