But behind the fabulous façade, Leonardo DiCaprio’s lavish fundraiser had a serious message. The Hollywood superstar’s second annual event, held in St Tropez in the South of France in aid of his Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation last week, raised an impressive $40million (£26million) to help save the environment.
Featuring a live auction of moneycan’t-buy items donated by generous celebrities including Sir Elton John and Harvey Weinstein, the night attracted stars such as Kate Hudson, Goldie Hawn, Dame Joan Collins, Sarah, Duchess of York, Marion Cotillard, Orlando Bloom, Adrien Brody, Naomi Campbell, Lewis Hamilton and Sylvester Stallone.
