You’re still young, but you’ve been working as a designer for many years. What are some of the standout moments in your career so far? We just celebrated the 10th anniversary of 3.1 Phillip Lim, and it’s been a milestone year in so many ways. You’ve been design director at Tiffany & Co. for more than two years now. How does it feel to be the first woman to hold that position? Well, I didn’t know that when I was first offered the job. I always think of Elsa Peretti and other amazing female designers who revolutionised jewellery, but it seems like it’s about time. I think that women now tend to buy their own jewellery more and show a lot more confidence in how they wear it. It was the rich and diverse history of Jodhpur that served as the creative director Claire Choisne’s starting point for Boucheron’s latest high-jewellery pieces. PRIYA SETH Cinematographer With more than 200 advertising films under her belt, and stellar work on Airlift, Seth is one of India’s most well-known cinematographers. THE PHRASE ‘Instagram sensation’ is often overused, but accurately describes the 50-year-old artist Helen Downie. She’s better known as @unskilledworker, a handle that refers to her lack of formal training, yet her wide-eyed portraits inhabit a Tudor stillness and poise.
