SIMPLE MATH
I look forward to reading James Tarr’s “Handgunning” column each month in Guns & Ammo. I agree with him that proper language usage is important, but I believe an oversight in his math calculations when he wrote that 1 pound is equal to 3.7 kilometers (“Micros & Subs,” November 2024). He has confused kilometers, a unit of distance, with kilograms, a unit of weight. One pound equals .4535924 kilograms, while 3.7 kilometers equals 2.299073 miles. I hope this offers some clarification.
