I read Craig Boddington’s September article, “6.5: Past, Present, Future” (page 78) and noticed a bit of incorrect information concerning the 6.5 Creedmoor. In the article (if I read it right), Boddington states that the 6.5 Creedmoor was created ground up by Hornady and was based on “the old .300 Savage case.” Referencing the company’s own 9th Edition of “Hornady’s Handbook of Cartridge Reloading,” the 6.5 Creedmoor was indeed built from the ground up.
