It feels strange to have to type a year-end letter in early November, but strange is a concept that took on a new meaning in 2020. It’s strange how late-March, when the national lockdown was introduced, feels just like only a few weeks ago. Strange how quickly the words COVID-19, face mask, lockdown, zoom, pandemic, PPE (and yes… the accompanying fraud… sigh), quarantine, hand sanitiser, social distancing and ventilators became part of our daily vocabulary.
Strange how quickly your walls inch closer to you when you’re working from home and only see your colleagues on computer screens. Strange how it takes you not being able to do it, to realise how important camping, off-roading, adventure travel and nature are for a healthy state of mind.
