Where did you train?
At a local nursery in Ringmer, near Glyndebourne, in the late 1980s. I learned about landscaping, plant production, and tree management. A figure I remember fondly is Mr Fuller, a knowledgeable plantsman. Each week, he would introduce me to a new plant, sharing its name and insights about it. On Fridays, he'd quiz me on what I had learned – it was an effective method of learning, and it stuck with me.
How long have you been at Glyndebourne and how did you get here?
