QCan you advise about when and how to plant a hedge?
A Hedges are often established from bare-root plants and these have many advantages. They tend to be much less expensive than potted plants and, because the roots can be spread out, they establish quickly. Bare-root hedges, of beech (pictured), hornbeam or mixed wildlife hedges, are economical, easy to plant and good for the environment, but must be planted when dormant, between November and late March, without the roots drying out.
