But isn’t it harder to come back from two goals down than to play with 10? Maybe it’s time for football to follow tennis, basketball and even volleyball’s lead and adapt their rules to improve the spectacle. Instead of the red card and penalty punishment, why not incorporate an orange card? If the foul is not violent but prevents a clear-cut chance, then the penalty is given and the offender is sin-binned for 15 minutes.
