“Security beefed up at YSU stadium following shooting,” Youngstown News reports. “A Cardinal Mooney [High School] student was shot at YSU’s Stambaugh Stadium Saturday evening,” an earlier story reported. Cardinal Mooney posted an information sheet on Facebook detailing prohibited behaviors and items. Among them are “Weapons of any kind, including off-duty law enforcement, weapons, pipes, knives or chains.” And attendees who obey the rules will go through metal detectors to make sure. People were definitely carrying .380 ACPs, but they were an oft-ignored subset of carry guns, not given much respect…and then Ruger introduced the LCP. In short order, Ruger sold a million of these guns, and the success of that pistol actually caused a nationwide shortage of .380 ammo. As someone who has professionally tested riflescopes for almost 30 years now, I have to say the improvement in recent years of both their design and build quality has been simply incredible.
