One trend that they are in fact experiencing in workplaces this year is a renewed focus on people, says Candice Neumann, an executive consultant at 21st Century.
“If 2020 taught us anything, it is that companies that do not change will get left behind by those that do. This applies most importantly to issues concerning people.”
And, actually, this is nothing new: As far back as the 1930s, researchers such as Elton Mayo and Mary Parker Follett found that aspects of human nature, such as relationships, were important motivating factors in the workplace.
