It’s got a nice ring to it; Corvette E-Ray. Like some sort of new Avatar species that makes all regular ‘Rays seem archaic. That’s not too far from the truth either, because the latest specimen from Corvette is revolutionary.
That’s quite the accolade because the Corvette C8 already took a gigantic step when engineers moved the engine from the nose, to just behind the rear seats. This gave the ‘Vette a whole new dynamic edge, akin to German performance cars.
First, though, this is not an electric corvette, instead, it’s a hybrid system. That should lessen the shock for die-hard Corvette owners and fans. The fat and square-tipped exhaust pipes help anchor the rear styling in piston-club territory. No downsizing here either, just more complexity on top of the axe-wielding…
