Continuing our theme of 300mph+, and a car that is a lot closer to the finished article versus the Bugatti Bolide, is the all-American Hennessey F5. If you’re not familiar with hurricane terminology, the F5 rating is the one that tears the roofs off of houses, tosses trucks like cattle, and cattle and like dogs.
The best news is that we won’t need to wait long to see if the numbers are enough to depose the Koenigsegg Regera, Tuatara SSC, and Bugatti’s 300mph arsenal. Hennessey has already confirmed its first test in spring 2021 at the Kennedy Space Centre in Florida – an apt venue for high-octane propulsion suitable for pilots, rather than drivers.
