Having spentafew days hustling the Ducati on the road, I had a rough idea of what to expect of it on track. Being so long and heavy, the V2 was a handful around Cadwell, being a bit of a pig to turn, and despite strong anchorage from the front brakes, it was an awkward customer to haul up, the reason being that with so much mass and such a long wheelbase, the bike was easy to make articulated. On a couple of occasions, especially into the likes of Park Corner, I had the rear end wagging like a dog on drugs… it was a little whappy, to say the least.
