I always love being on-set with our team for cover shoots. The energy and buzz fuel my creative fire, and this shoot was a special one. We shot model, actor and musician Paris Jackson at the Mosaic House, an iconic landmark in the Hollywood Hills built as a private home in the 1920s. The eclectic vibe of the space was totally in sync with Jackson, whose edgy, boho-rock aesthetic made her the perfect match for our fashion-forward brand. She is an advocate for individuality and inclusivity, and we love her cool, curious spirit and her commitment to authenticity in everything she does. While there are many legends surrounding the silhouette, a leading theory states that the Tiffany & Co. jewellery designer first fell for the famously monogamous bird after spotting one at his beloved home on the Caribbean island of Guadeloupe. In 1979, work began to convert the Gare D’Orsay railway station in Paris into the Musée D’Orsay, transforming the Beaux-Arts space on the left bank of the Seine from housing trains and travellers to fine works of painting and sculpture. The architect tasked with the project was Gae Aulenti, the visionary Italian creative who also lent her eye to updating such landmarks as the Palazzo Grassi in Venice and a portion of Paris’s Centre Pompidou. Every few years, my parents give me a pyjama set for my birthday. In the past, aside from the rare bed-rot day or viral flu, I tended not to wear my favourite pair of Muji PJs outside of bed. But lately, when I’m working from home, I’ve been, let’s say, extending the look from night to day—rolling out of bed and right onto Zoom.
