Which colour to pick?
Brown, pink, toffee, beige, orange or tan? With so many ‘nude’ lipstick variations out there, how do you actually choose? On her YouTube channel, makeup artist extraordinaire Lisa Eldridge recommends looking at three or four different nude shades side by side when you’re out shopping. This will help you distinguish between the different undertones, as you can see clearly which is more brown, pink, orange or neutral when you hold them up next to one another. ‘One person’s nude,’ Lisa points out, ‘is another person’s orange, or another person’s brown, or another’s pink – it’s so individual.’ Also remember, although ‘nude’ implies a natural look, nude lips are anything but natural, as your lips are very rarely the same colour as your skin.
