Jakarta’s dining scene hits up with the opening of its first Argentinian asador, Sudestada. Helmed by chef-owner Victor Taborda, the cavernous all-day dining, two-storey restaurant consists of an indoor and outdoor area which can take in 200 people. Red brick walls, marble tabletops and floorto-ceiling glass windows provide a warm and polished ambience. Savour slow-grilled meats, such as 250g Angus Rib Eye (Rp390,000) with tasty chimichurri sauce, house made Chorizo Platter (Rp180,000) and traditional Latin American dishes, including hand-cut Beef Empanadas (Rp40,000) and crispy Churros Con Dulce de Leche (Rp40,000). Remember to save some space for the delicious Sangria Roja (Rp190,000), a heady mix of brandy, Amaretto, mixed fruits, lemonade and red wine. Jl. Irian No. 15, Gondangdia, Menteng, Jakarta Pusat.
