According to The Farmers' Almanac, the northeast region (not to mention much of the rest of the country) is in for a bitter winter, full of cold and snow and more cold and snow. Which actually might turn out to be a bit of a blessing, because, other than in our travel story on the French Alps, you'll see nary a flake on our pages this month.
