RECYCLE SOAP Don’t throw old soap away. Use it to make new cakes of soap that will beautify your bathroom and make great gifts. YOU’LL NEED Old bits of soap, a polystyrene cup (or any microwaveable container) and a knife. METHOD Chop the soap into pieces – the smaller the better. Put them in the cup, then add enough water to cover. Microwave for about 30 seconds but keep a close eye on things. As soon as you see the soap rising out of the cup, turn the microwave off.
