To this day, it’s one of the most foolish, short sighted, arrogant choices I’ve ever made. Growing up doing legal deer drives with close family during Wisconsin’s firearms season, I loved the camaraderie, but found little personal joy in hooting as I walked through the woods or trying to shoot deer tearing across the open ground to the next closest cover. No judgement on others that enjoy it, but deer drives just weren’t for me, and I LOVED bowhunting.
