SAKE at Wynberg Magistrate’s Court were forced to a halt yesterday after authorities received information of an alleged bomb threat. According to police, the threatening call was received at around 8.42am from an unidentified person claiming that a bomb was planted on one of the floors. Police, the court manager and security responded immediately and all activity at the court had to be stopped. People were escorted to safety and the building was closed, as police immediately swept through the courthouse with the SAPS K9 explosive dog unit as well as the Bomb Disposal units at the scene.
