Petition Magistrate Annelin Africa denied Meek bail on 29 July. Earlier this month, an online petition was started calling for bail for Meek, demanding that she receive fair treatment and be declared innocent until proven guilty. THE parents of a Lotus River girl who has been missing since 6 September are appealing for public assistance in finding her. Anovuyo Oncke from Riemvasmaak informal settlement in Phumlani Village is still missing, and the searches by officials seem to have died down.
