BISHOP Lavis detectives are hard at work pursuing leads in a bid to apprehend those responsible for the death of a three-month-old boy and the attempted murder of an adult female in Yellowwood Street, Bonteheuwel, on Friday 22 August 2025. At around 7.45am, two unidentified armed men entered the premises and proceeded to one of the living rooms. One of the men fired a gunshot, leaving the three-month-old baby with serious injuries. THE community of Penhill Estate in Eerste River is reeling in shock after a 75-year-old ouma was allegedly murdered by a ‘possessed family member’ during the early hours on Friday morning. According to a neighbour, it is alleged that the woman was hit in the face with a car jack. Police spokesperson Captain FC van Wyk confirmed that a 38-year-old suspect has been arrested in connection with the murder.
