THE JiVE Cape Town Funny Festival is back to warm up the Kaapse winter with a maand vol jokes and good times. The acclaimed lagbol celebration opens at the Baxter Theatre on 2 June and runs through to the 29 June 2025. GORDON’S Bay mense got a lekker surprise on Tuesday when a reuse elephant seal was spotted wandering the streets, nearly a kilometre from the shoreline. Stunned mense first noticed the massive marine mammal around 6am and quickly began filming the unusual encounter. Videos Videos and photos online showed the visibly fatigued seal moving slowly along tarred roads, even propping its upper body on a parked vehicle before continuing to make its journey. A HUMAN trafficking expert from the United States of America believes missing Joshlin Smith was likely sold into exploitation. The shocking testimony comes on the opening day of the sentencing hearing of her mother Kelly Smith, die se berk Jacquen ‘Boeta’ Appollis and chommie Steveno van Rhyn. FOUR mense were shot, leaving two dead in an attack on a wendy house in the ongoing gang violence in Wesbank. Police spokesperson Lieutenant- Colonel Malcolm Pojie said that Mfuleni police opened two counts of murder and two counts of attempted murder cases following a shooting in Malgas Street, Wesbank, on Monday, 26 May 2025 at approximately 7.00pm.
