HOLLYWOOD stars got a major shake-up when an earthquake hit Los Angeles soon after the Oscars gala on Sunday night.
After the award winners had been announced and the stars were getting ready to go and party it up, a shaker rocked the city.
According to a report from the United States Geological Survey, an earthquake measuring 3.9 on the Richter scale struck at around 10pm local time on 2 March, with its epicentre 15km below the surface.
Local broadcaster KABC said there were no reports of significant damage or injuries and the Los Angeles Fire Department said it was “not entering earthquake mode”.
There was enough drama at the awards ceremony, as the best movies of the past year were honoured.
