The founder of the Centre of Excellence, Wesley Moodley, notes that as a community engagement organisation, they will assist and use their expertise in tackling issues of fundraising within the board.
He adds: “Local sports clubs are struggling with funds to run their operations and get players to their games outside the area, which is very costly.”
Moodley adds that the body is super excited about the membership and that the partnership supports one of the Centre of Excellence’s pillars, which is education through sport.
Moodley concludes: “Our involvement in community safety and anti-gang violence projects and programmes reassures us that a child in sport is a child out of the correctional services.
