Ingredients 5 cups cake flour 1½ packets of instant yeast 6 tablespoons castor sugar 2 heaped teaspoons mixed spice 2 heaped teaspoons fine cinnamon 2 teaspoons ginger powder A generous pinch of nutmeg A generous pinch of salt 1½ cups of seedless raisins 300ml of warm milk ½ cup melted butter 2 extra large eggs whisked. Wet ingredients 1 egg 2 tablespoons butter 1 tablespoon vanilla essence 1 cup milk 1 teaspoon vinegar Dry ingredients 2 heaped cups flour 2 teaspoons baking powder Pinch of salt 2 heaped tablespoon sugar For the topping: Melted chocolate Sprinkles Speckled eggs Method Whisk together your wet ingredients, add in your dry ingredients, knead to form a dough. CALLING IT A DALIN

You’ve often heard him say his catchphrase “Please be a lekker willie werker”, and yesterday comedian and sports presenter Dalin Oliver said it for the final time on the Big Breakfast Show on Good Hope FM. Dalin, 35, is leaving the station after 14 years to focus on his stand-up comedy career. The former high school teacher’s journey with the radio station started in 2010 when he won the UCT leg of Good Hope FM’s Campus DJ Search. A few years later, he officially signed on as a sports presenter, and then became part of the Big Breakfast Show team. Ingredients 4 eggs 1½ castor sugar 1 tablespoon vanilla essence 1 cup milk 1 cup oil 4 cups flour 4 teaspoons baking powder 3 to 4 tablespoons cocoa Method Mix the egg and sugar until nice and fluffy, add the vanilla essence and mix. Easter Choco Egg Cookies

Ingredients 250g butter ½ cup white sugar ½ cup brown sugar 1 egg 1 teaspoon vanilla essence 2-3 cups flour 2 tablespoons cocoa powder ¾ cup roughly chopped speckled eggs Method Cream together butter and sugar until pale white. Add the egg and essence, and mix well. Add in the flour and cocoa, and mix until a soft dough is formed. Roll into little balls and press flat on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Ingredients *For the Snoek 1kg snoek Wash, rinse and drain fish of all excess water. Sprinkle over a little salt *Masala for the snoek 1 heaped teaspoon garlic flakes 1 heaped teaspoon jeera 1 level teaspoon koljana (coriander) 1 teaspoon Kashmiri chilli powder 1 level teaspoon salt Method Mix the spices with a little water to make a thick paste and rub on fish.
