SOUTH Africans woke up to sad news yesterday morning that local musician, Bulelwa Mkutukana, better known by her stage name Zahara, had passed away.
According to reports, Zahara, who was just 36, passed away at a Johannesburg hospital on Monday. She had been hospitalised for two weeks for apparent liver complications.
Zahara’s family issued a statement on Instagram, saying: “It is with heavy hearts and deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved daughter, sister, and friend, Zahara.
“She was a pure light, and an even purer heart, in this world.
“A beacon of hope, a gift, and a blessing to us and countless people around the world.”
Zahara’s colleagues in the music industry took to social media to share their condolences with her family, friends and fans.…
