“I have an oxygen tank and a machine that works with electricity. So when it’s load shedding then my husband must connect me to the tank, but the tank is almost empty.”
Shahieda told the Daily Voice that a mobile oxygen machine will change her life but she can’t afford one.
“I’m only getting a disability grant and my husband is also unemployed for the past two years, so that is the only income we have.
“This will also be beneficial if I have to go to the hospital and I need to fix my rates at the council, but I can’t go because I need oxygen,” she added.
“We are a very poor family, we can’t depend on family.”
