Victorious
The Nazeem Benjamin Heritage Cup was held on Sunday night at the Cape Town City Hall where seven choirs competed, but it was the crowd favourite Tjommies who walked away victorious.
Items rendered on the night were Junior Solo, Senior Solo, Comic song, Combine Chorus and the Nederlands Lied.
I watched and admired the troupes, and applaud the board members for the way they kept things together and how they respected the craft.
Other teams who showcased their talents during the finale of the competition on Sunday were Broadways Studente, Protea Sporting club, Sewende Laan, Riverside Roses, Starlites, Golden Notes and Tjommies.
The results are in and you know they left the City Hall jolling with the koppe in their hands.
