KIDS in Hanover Park were over the moon when they received supplies and stationery from the United Arab Emirates Embassy and the Department of Basic Education this week. Crystal Secondary School and Welcome Primary School were the only two schools in the Western Cape identified by the department. According to Natasha Pedro, the circuit manager for Crystal Secondary School, they had to apply by letter. “We drafted a letter to the UAE foundation requesting support but the support is larger than what we requested,” said Pedro.
