If Keith Bontrager was describing wheels today he might well have said, ‘Wide, light, tubeless, aero, ceramic, cheap… pick five. Or sometimes three. Or maybe two.’ And up until recently he might have been right. Yet, with wheels such as these from Deda, picking all six is a distinct possibility.
Granted, £1,320 isn’t cheap in the same way own-brand supermarket crisps are cheap, but in the grand scheme of carbon wheels it’s towards the entry level. Yet for that money you get a slice of all the latest wheel thinking.
