The Huez model has been a fixture in Look’s line-up for almost a decade now, but the latest iteration brings the model bang up to date with a T47 85.5mm bottom bracket, full hose/cable integration and clearance for 32mm tyres. Predictably, Look promotes its Huez model as a performance-oriented climber’s bike, but I believe that, by pigeonholing it as such, the brand is underselling it. The Huez is considerably more versatile than that, as my journey through France would prove.
CONSTRUCTION
The Huez has the geometry typical of a modern climbing bike. The head tube angle, reach and chainstay length measure 73°, 395mm and 410mm, respectively, on a size 56/Large. Its stack height is a full 18mm taller than the Look 795, suggesting that the Huez has the potential to…
