Initial elimination wins went the way of Johnson, Billadeau and Thompson, along with Chris Layram, Dan Williams with a +0.0070 RT, Jim Chandler who defeated Guy King, Vic Parsons, John Davidson, David Simcock, James Oliver, Bob Main and Don Scott, who turned up with his ’71 Dodge Charger as the engine in his Superbird expired at the last event.
